Happy 5th Anniversary to us!
Dear Sweet Pea Fiber Community ~
We opened our doors in the middle of COVID with a simple goal: to welcome and embrace (but not infect!) absolutely everyone.
As we started resocializing, our shop became the ultimate hotspot for awkward reunions and getting-to-know-you's. We all went through that hilarious "wait, who are you?" phase as the masks finally came off and we realized what everyone actually looks like from the nose down!
Every single person who has walked through our doors has helped shape this place. You brought your creativity, your laughs, and your willingness to share. You turned our little fiber shop into a truly wonderful, messy, vibrant community space.
Thank you for five years of keeping us afloat, keeping us company, and keeping us laughing. Here’s to many more years of beautiful making together!

Maker's Night Every Wednesday
Every Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm the shop is yours! Bring your hand work, spinning wheel, whatever you like and enjoy the company of other creators. Come on by even if you don't have a project in hand ~ this is a time to relax midweek and enjoy community.

After 56 years of operating under our founder's guidance, Schacht Spindle Company has been acquired by Paul Vervoorn, owner of Louët BV and Venne BV. The time had come for CEO, Barry Schacht, to retire from the company he founded in 1969. Barry’s goal was to keep the Schacht legacy alive with a buyer who he felt could be successful in this special, niche market.
Louet is still run by the same family that started making looms and spinning wheels in the Netherlands and Venne makes very quality yarns under the eyes of the family that started the business a half century ago.
Three family-run business are now operating as one to continue their mission to produce innovative and high quality products for fiber artists around the world.

Ashford wool sliver is grown and processed in New Zealand. They select only the highest quality fleeces and fibres, which are then expertly processed into luxurious blends and vibrant colours.
