We are opening the doors to Friday night fun (every other week - check the drop down menu) from 6-9pm. After a hard week at work, what could be a better way to unwind than to knit a chicken?!?
By the time you have finished your glorious companion you will have navigated so many short rows you will be an expert!
Skill Level: Beginner
Skills Developed: Short rows, seaming, and an increased sense of joy
Materials Needed: This is a great scrap yarn project! Bring what you have;
use what we put out for free;
or purchase something new and fresh.
If following the directions (you don't need to!!) than you will need the following amount of yarn. You can "go rouge" and use whatever you like! It is a fun project.
- Worsted weight (#4) yarn noted on the pattern:
- Main Color - 200yds / 100g
- Color B (stripes) - 100yds / 50g

- US 7 / 4.5mm knitting needles (or 8, or 9, or 6.... all depends on what size you want your chicken.)
- 1 pair 15mm safety eyes (Sweet Pea Fiber will have eyes available)
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- 250g of Polyfill stuffing
