Ravelry 101

Instructor - Deirdre Holder

This workshop is for all fiber artists—knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, dyers, and anyone who plans to be. Are you on Ravelry already? Thinking about it? Not sure you’re using it to its full potential? This class is about making Ravelry work for you.

We’ll explore different ways to use Ravelry, including how to search for patterns and yarns, see what other makers have created, participate in make-alongs, and keep track of your projects and stash. We’ll also talk about practical things—like figuring out how much of that special yarn you might want to buy when you spot it at Sweet Pea Fiber.

In-person help is always best, but we’ll also cover some helpful online resources so you know where to turn when the shop is closed and you’re stuck.

Prerequisites:
Be a fiber artist—or an aspiring fiber artist. If you knit, crochet, spin, weave, dye, or plan to, you’re welcome.

What to Bring:
Curiosity, and any questions you already have about Ravelry or the kind of help you’d like when working on your fiber projects at home.
