Welcome to confident beginner/intermediate knitting! During these 4, 2.5-hour sessions we will cover knitting in the round, shaping techniques, reading a pattern, and knitting terminology, giving you a strong foundation for further knit development.
Session 1: Sizing your sweater, reading the pattern, basic fixes such as fixing a twisted stitch and picking up a dropped stitch. Introduction to SSK, YO, M1R, M1L and other common terms. During this first session you will finish your swatch; finalize your pattern size; cast on and get going.
Session 2: Review and address any lingering issues from the first session and knitting at home. Focus on working the raglan increases. Discuss pattern requirements for knitting during the week.
Session 3: Work on you project. Continue to cover hints and tricks of stitch increases, decreases, and picking up dropped stitches.
Session 4: What are you struggling with? What hints did you learn along the way? We will look at the remaining work to be done on your project, if any, and design a game plan to complete.
