🧶 Braided Rug Workshop — A Cozy 3-Hour Upcycling Adventure!
Fun for all ages — perfect for parents and kids!

Get ready for a warm, creative, and delightfully scrappy workshop where we transform well-loved fabrics into beautiful braided rugs. In this three-hour class, you will experience a fun, hands-on upcycling project that’s as practical as it is charming. If you want to bring a kiddo or friend, it is a fun project to learn together as well. 

No experience needed—just bring a sense of curiosity, a willingness to try something new, and a few old clothes, sheets, or fabric odds and ends you’re ready to give a second life. Think worn-out jeans, outgrown dresses, retired t-shirts… if it’s soft and washable, it can become part of your rug!

In this cozy 3-hour session, you’ll learn how to:

• Prepare and tear fabric strips from upcycled materials
• Create smooth, consistent braids
• Coil and stitch your braid into the beginning of a sturdy rug
• Play with color and texture to make your rug uniquely you

You’ll leave with your rug started, your hands happily tired, and all the know-how you need to continue at home.

This workshop is relaxed, chatty, and welcoming—picture an old-school making circle with a modern, sustainable twist. It’s a great way to spend creative time together, learn a new skill, and turn memories (and old clothes!) into something functional and full of heart.

Bring: a few pieces of clothing, sheets, or other soft fabric to upcycle
We provide: tools, extra fabric, guidance, and plenty of encouragement
